On ArenaPlus, every Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) game lists its odds in three columns, Winner, Spread, and Total, using decimal prices.

This guide reads a real PBA line column by column, then explains implied chance, why odds move, and how llamado and dehado fit in. All times are Philippine time, and the example odds are dated, since prices change. If you’re new to sports betting, start here.

How to read a PBA line on ArenaPlus

Every PBA game on ArenaPlus shows three markets side by side: Winner, Spread, and Total. Each team has its own row, with a decimal price under each column. Reading across a row tells you what a ₱100 bet on that side would return, and what has to happen on the court for it to win.

Here’s the line for San Miguel Beermen vs. NLEX Road Warriors, set for 21 October 2026 at 5:15 p.m.:

Team

Winner

Spread

Total

San Miguel Beermen

1.69

−2.5 at 1.90

Over 222.5 at 1.87

NLEX Road Warriors

2.12

+2.5 at 1.90

Under 222.5 at 1.93

Odds as of 20 October 2026, subject to change. Source: ArenaPlus

Winner (moneyline)

The Winner column is a bet on which team wins the game. Decimal odds show the total return per peso, including your stake. A winning ₱100 bet on San Miguel at 1.69 returns ₱169, while a winning ₱100 bet on NLEX at 2.12 returns ₱212.

Spread (handicap)

The Spread gives one team a points handicap. San Miguel at −2.5 wins the bet only if it wins the game by 3 points or more. NLEX at +2.5 wins the bet if it wins outright or loses by 2 points or fewer.

Both sides are priced at 1.90, so a winning ₱100 bet returns ₱190. The half point means a spread bet can’t end in a tie.

Total (over/under)

The Total is a bet on the combined score of both teams. Over 222.5 wins if the teams score 223 points or more together; Under 222.5 wins at 222 or fewer. Winner, Spread, and Total bets on PBA games generally include overtime, unless the market is labeled “Regular Time Only.” Check the market description before you bet.

For more on how spreads and totals settle, see the guide to handicap and over/under betting.

What PBA odds say about each team’s chances

PBA odds also show how likely the market thinks each result is. Divide 1 by the decimal odds to get the implied chance. Add both sides of a market together and the total comes to a little over 100%. That extra is the sportsbook’s margin, built into every price on the board.

Market

Side A

Side B

Combined

Winner

San Miguel 1.69 → 59.2%

NLEX 2.12 → 47.2%

106.3%

Spread

San Miguel −2.5 at 1.90 → 52.6%

NLEX +2.5 at 1.90 → 52.6%

105.3%

Total

Over 1.87 → 53.5%

Under 1.93 → 51.8%

105.3%

Calculated from ArenaPlus odds as of 20 October 2026

The Winner line shows San Miguel as the favorite, with an implied chance of about 59%. The Spread is built to make the game closer to even, which is why both sides sit at the same price. Implied chance is the market’s estimate, not a prediction, and it includes the margin.

Why PBA odds move

PBA odds can change from the moment a market opens until the final buzzer. Before tip-off, lines move with news such as injuries or lineup changes and with betting activity on each side. During a game, live odds update in real time as the score, clock, and game situation change.

A price can shift in the seconds between adding a selection and placing the bet. When that happens on ArenaPlus, you may see a “Betting Unsuccessful – Odds Changed” message. Your stake isn’t charged; refresh the market and reselect your bet at the updated odds.

Line movement reflects new information and betting activity. It doesn’t signal which side will win.

Llamado and dehado in PBA odds

In Philippine betting talk, the llamado is the favorite and the dehado is the underdog. On a PBA line, the llamado has the lower Winner price and gives points on the Spread, shown with a minus sign. The dehado has the higher Winner price and receives points, shown with a plus sign.

The second game on 21 October shows a wider gap than San Miguel vs. NLEX:

Team

Winner

Spread

Role

Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots

1.50

−4.5 at 1.90

Llamado

Rain or Shine Elasto Painters

2.54

+4.5 at 1.90

Dehado

Odds as of 20 October 2026, subject to change. Source: ArenaPlus

Magnolia’s 1.50 price implies about a 67% chance, compared with roughly 59% for San Miguel, so the Spread asks Magnolia to win by 5 or more instead of 3. A bigger spread means the market sees a bigger gap between the teams. Even so, a llamado can lose, and a dehado can win outright.

Placing a bet on PBA odds

Placing a bet on PBA odds takes a few taps: go to Sports, then Basketball, then PBA, choose a game, and tap the price you want under Winner, Spread, or Total. Open your Bet Slip, enter your stake, review the odds, and tap Place Bet. Bets can’t be cancelled, changed, or reversed once placed.

Log in to ArenaPlus, a PAGCOR-licensed online sportsbook.

Find the game: tap Sports, then Basketball, then PBA. Even a heavy llamado loses some games, and every line includes the sportsbook’s margin. ArenaPlus is for players 21 and over only. Set a budget before you bet, only stake what you can afford to lose, and treat betting as entertainment, never as a way to earn money.

If betting stops being fun or starts affecting your finances, relationships, or well-being, take a break and use the responsible gaming tools in your ArenaPlus account, or reach out for professional support.

FAQ

What does +2.5 mean in PBA odds?

It’s the points the dehado receives on the Spread. A +2.5 bet wins if that team wins the game or loses by 2 points or fewer.

Do PBA odds include overtime?

Generally, yes. Winner, Spread, and Total bets on ArenaPlus settle on the final result after overtime, unless the market is labeled “Regular Time Only.”

Why do both sides of a PBA line add up to more than 100%?

Because every price includes the sportsbook’s margin. In the San Miguel vs. NLEX Winner line, the two implied chances total about 106%.

Are PBA odds the same for every game?

No. Each game has its own prices, set by how evenly matched the teams are, and they can change before and during play.

Keep learning

The same Winner, Spread, and Total markets apply to other Philippine leagues, so the reading skills here carry over.
