When a Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) game tips off, fans want two things: the live score and a way to watch. This guide covers where to find both, how to read a PBA score, and how live sports betting works once a game is underway.
The quickest way to check the PBA live score is through the league's official website, pba.ph, which posts scores and box scores for every game. Sports outlets such as ESPN also publish PBA scores and results, and a Google search for the game usually shows a live score box at the top of the results.
For the PBA score today, the league's official social media accounts post updates during and after each game. Team pages often share quarter-by-quarter scores too.
PBA games air live on TV through free-to-air and cable channels, and stream online through official apps and a free YouTube channel. All of them are the league's official broadcast partners for Season 50, so stick to these options for a reliable feed rather than unofficial streams, which can lag behind or cut out without warning.
| Option | Where to find it |
|---|---|
| Free-to-air TV | RPTV |
| Cable and satellite | PBA Rush (Channel 260 HD, Channel 90 SD) |
| Streaming apps | Pilipinas Live, Cignal Play |
| Free online stream | One Sports YouTube channel |
If you're looking for a PBA game today live, check the league's schedule for tip-off times, then tune in through any of these partners.
A PBA score shows each team's points, the quarter being played, and the time left on the game clock. A PBA game has four 12-minute quarters, and a tied game goes to a five-minute overtime. Many live scoreboards also break the score down by quarter, so you can see how each period was scored.
Points in the PBA come from four types of shots: free throws are worth one point, shots inside the arc two, shots beyond the three-point line three, and shots from the four-point line, added in Season 49, four. Each one adds to a team's score the moment it goes in.
The running total of both teams' points is the number that matters for a Total (over/under) bet. On ArenaPlus, Winner, Spread, and Total bets on PBA games generally include overtime and settle on the final result, unless the market is labeled "Regular Time Only," so check the market description before you bet. For how totals and spreads are set and settled, read the guide to handicap and over/under betting.
Pre-game betting means placing your bet before tip-off, using odds set before the game starts. Live betting means placing your bet while the game is in progress, with odds that change as the game unfolds. Both use the same basic markets on ArenaPlus, but live betting is faster and the prices you see can move quickly.
| Pre-game betting | Live betting | |
|---|---|---|
| When you bet | Before tip-off | After tip-off, while the game is played |
| Where to find it on ArenaPlus | Sports, then Basketball, then PBA | Sports, then Basketball, then PBA, then the IN-PLAY tab |
| How odds behave | Can still change before the game starts | Update in real time as the game progresses |
| Markets | Depend on the game | Depend on the game and what stays open during play |
| Time to decide | Hours or days | Seconds to minutes |
Winner, Spread, and Total are available for live betting on PBA games, but markets can differ by league and game, so check the live market page to see what's open for a particular match.
Odds formats are different ways of showing the same price. ArenaPlus supports six odds display formats, and you can switch between them under Sports, then Settings, then Odds Format. Every format represents the same probability and net return. The table converts real Winner odds for Phoenix Fuel Masters vs. Meralco Bolts into six common formats.
| Format | Phoenix Fuel Masters | Meralco Bolts | How to read it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 2.22 | 1.66 | Total return per ₱1 staked, including the stake |
| Fractional | 61/50 | 33/50 | Profit compared with the stake |
| American | +122 | -152 | Plus: profit on a 100 stake; minus: stake needed to win 100 |
| Hong Kong | 1.22 | 0.66 | Profit per ₱1 staked |
| Malay | -0.82 | 0.66 | Positive up to 1.00 for the favorite; negative for the underdog |
| Indonesian | 1.22 | -1.52 | American odds divided by 100 |
All six rows describe the same price. A winning ₱100 bet on Phoenix at 2.22 returns ₱222, which is ₱122 in profit, whether it's written as 2.22, 61/50, +122, or 1.22 in Hong Kong odds.
On the same date, the game also showed a Spread of +2.5 for Phoenix at 1.96 and -2.5 for Meralco at 1.85, and a Total of 202.5 points with Over at 1.88 and Under at 1.92.
To bet live on a PBA game on ArenaPlus, go to Sports, then Basketball, then PBA, and tap the IN-PLAY tab at the top. Find the game in progress and choose a market such as Winner, Spread, or Total. Your selection goes to the bet slip, where you enter your stake, check the current odds and potential return, and confirm.
Bets can't be cancelled, changed, or reversed once placed, so review your selections before you tap Place Bet. If the odds change before your bet goes through, you may see a "Betting Unsuccessful – Odds Changed" message. Your stake isn't charged; refresh the market and reselect your bet at the updated odds. Set a budget before the game starts, and only bet what you can afford to lose.
