Learn how moneyline, spread, and totals bets work, the difference between decimal and American odds, and how parlays are scored.
Every bet on ArenaPlus comes down to three things: what type of bet you're placing, which odds format you're reading, and — if you're combining bets — how a parlay gets scored. Here's a plain-language breakdown of each.
The three foundational bet types cover most of what you'll place:
Most other bet types you'll encounter are variations or combinations built on these three.
You'll typically see odds in one of two formats:
You can switch between formats in your account settings — pick whichever one you find easier to read at a glance, since they represent the same underlying probability either way.
A parlay combines multiple individual bets into a single wager. The catch: every selection in the parlay has to win for the whole thing to pay out. If even one leg loses, the parlay loses.
In exchange for that all-or-nothing requirement, the combined odds across all your selections multiply together, which is why parlays can offer a much bigger potential return than betting each selection separately.
That higher potential payout reflects genuinely lower odds of winning — worth keeping in mind before stacking a long parlay, since it's a higher-risk bet type, not a shortcut to easier wins.
Moneyline bets pick the outright winner, spread bets adjust for the expected margin of victory, and totals bet on the combined score of both teams.
A parlay combines multiple bets into one wager. All selections must win for the parlay to pay out, with combined odds offering a bigger potential return.
