ArenaPlus How to bet on PBA Games

Sports Betting Terms Glossary: Handicap, Odds Board & More

The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) schedule follows a pattern once you know how the season is built: three conferences, a set of regular game days, and two fixed tip-off times. This guide covers all three, plus the upcoming games and how PBA markets work if you follow the league through sports betting.

All dates and times are in Philippine time.

How the PBA season is structured

A PBA season is split into three conferences, and each one is its own tournament with its own champion. Season 50 opened with the Philippine Cup, moved to the Commissioner’s Cup, and closes with the Governors’ Cup. At 14 months, from October 2025 to December 2026, it is the longest season in league history.

Each conference has an elimination round followed by playoffs, ending in a best-of-seven Finals. Breaks are built into the calendar for national team duty, such as FIBA World Cup qualifier windows.

The order of the conferences can change from season to season. In Season 49, for example, the Governors’ Cup opened the season and the Philippine Cup closed it.

PBA conferences explained

The three PBA conferences differ mainly in who can play. The Philippine Cup is all-Filipino, with no foreign players allowed. The Commissioner’s Cup and Governors’ Cup each let teams add one import, a foreign reinforcement. In Season 50, the Commissioner’s Cup had no height limit for imports, while the Governors’ Cup has one.

Conference Imports Import height limit Season 50 dates Season 50 champion
Philippine Cup None (all-Filipino) Not applicable October 5, 2025 to February 1, 2026 San Miguel Beermen
Commissioner’s Cup One per team No limit March 11 to June 17, 2026 Barangay Ginebra San Miguel
Governors’ Cup One per team 6 feet 6 inches July 10 to December 2026 In progress

Philippine Cup: the all-Filipino conference

Season 50’s edition had a break from November 17 to December 4 for the first window of the 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifiers. The Finals was a rematch with TNT Tropang 5G, which San Miguel won in six games to retain the title.

Commissioner’s Cup: imports with no height limit

The PBA board approved scrapping the previous import height cap in June 2024, starting with Season 49. Season 50’s edition also included the Macau Black Knights as a guest team, and the Finals against TNT went the full seven games.

Governors’ Cup: imports with a height limit

Season 50’s edition uses a two-group format: teams play each group opponent twice, the top four of each group advance to the crossover quarterfinals, and the semifinals are best-of-seven. Macau returned as a guest team under a new name, the Macau Giant Pandas. The conference paused from August 15 to October 6 for FIBA World Cup qualifiers and the Asian Games.

PBA weekly schedule: game days and tip-off times

The first game tips off at 5:15 p.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m. Not every listed day has games every week, and the league can move dates for holidays and national team breaks.

Governors’ Cup games rotate among Smart Araneta Coliseum, Mall of Asia Arena, Ninoy Aquino Stadium, and Ynares Center in Antipolo and Montalban.

PBA odds

PBA odds tell you the potential return on a bet. With decimal odds, multiply the odds by your stake to see the potential return, which includes your stake. On ArenaPlus, odds vary by match and market, and during live betting they update in real time as the game progresses, so the price you see can change between checking and confirming.

For example, a ₱100 stake at sample odds of 1.85 has a potential return of ₱185, or ₱85 in profit. Lower odds point to an outcome the market considers more likely, and higher odds to one it considers less likely.

How to bet on PBA games

Betting on PBA games means choosing a market, picking a selection, and placing a stake on ArenaPlus. Each market settles on a different part of the game, from the final result to a single quarter or a player’s stats. Knowing how each one settles helps you understand what you are betting on before you confirm.

PBA betting markets

ArenaPlus offers six main market types for PBA games. Lines for spread and over/under bets are set per game.

Market What you bet on How it settles
Moneyline (ML) Which team wins the game outright On the final result
Spread A team to cover the point spread On the final score after the spread is applied
Over/Under (Totals) Whether combined points go over or under a set line On the total points scored by both teams
Quarter / Half bets A result within one quarter or half Only on the score within that period
Player props A player’s points, rebounds, or assists On that player’s official stats
Outrights / Futures A conference champion, MVP award, or other long-term result When the tournament or award is decided

Live betting on PBA games

Live betting lets you place bets while a game is in progress. The available markets reflect the current score and game situation. A market can also be briefly suspended during key moments, so a selection may not be available when you try to add it.
